Key Responsibilities

The Finance Officer – Shared Services will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all transactions. Your core duties will include:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate financial risks.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee the processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer receipts. Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly classified. Perform reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial outcomes.
• Tax Compliance and Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory filings. Liaise with tax authorities and internal stakeholders to address any tax-related queries or audits.
• Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes through automation, digital transformation, and best practices. Implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data integrity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, HR, and operations, to ensure seamless financial operations. Provide financial insights and support to decision-makers to drive strategic initiatives.
• Internal Controls and Audit Support: Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a shared services environment. Experience in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), advanced Excel skills, and strong knowledge of financial software and tools. Familiarity with local tax regulations and accounting standards is essential.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
