Information Technology Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Information Technology Manager to lead our organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, robust security, and alignment with business objectives. This pivotal role will oversee Microsoft technologies, network infrastructure, unified communications, and end-user computing services while driving innovation and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining IT policies, managing technical teams, and delivering high-performance, secure, and scalable IT solutions across all company locations.

Key Responsibilities

The Information Technology Manager will play a critical role in shaping the IT landscape of the organization. Core responsibilities include:

• IT Operations & Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure and Support teams to ensure operational efficiency and high availability of business-critical services.
  • Develop and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize downtime and enhance service reliability.
  • Create and execute IT roadmaps that align technology initiatives with long-term business goals.
  • Monitor IT key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage IT documentation, technical standards, and project deliverables from planning to implementation.
  • Mentor, coach, and evaluate IT team members to foster professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
• Microsoft Technologies Management:
  • Administer and maintain enterprise Microsoft solutions, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange Server/Online, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Windows Server, and file/print services.
  • Leverage Microsoft Intune, Defender, and PowerShell automation to enhance security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), storage solutions, and SAN/NAS environments.
  • Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery solutions are in place to safeguard critical data and systems.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, and performance to proactively address potential issues and optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives to enhance scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Network & Security Management:
  • Manage enterprise networking environments, including core/access switching, VLANs, routing, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and network redundancy.
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise wireless networks, including guest WiFi solutions and enterprise authentication protocols.
  • Administer next-generation firewalls, VPN solutions, IPS/IDS, web filtering, email security, and endpoint protection to ensure a secure IT environment.
  • Implement multi-factor authentication, security policies, vulnerability management, and patch management processes.
  • Experience with security solutions from vendors such as Sophos, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or Check Point is highly preferred.
• Unified Communications & VoIP:
  • Manage enterprise voice solutions, including IP PBX systems, SIP trunks, VoIP gateways, IP phones, softphones, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality voice and video communications through proper call routing, Quality of Service (QoS), and network troubleshooting.
• Passive Infrastructure & Vendor Management:
  • Oversee passive network infrastructure, including structured cabling, fiber/copper cabling, patch panels, data cabinets, and rack installations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure installations comply with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and asset lifecycle to optimize costs and service delivery.
• Monitoring & Automation:
  • Implement proactive infrastructure monitoring using platforms such as Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
  • Develop automated operational reports and dashboards to provide real-time insights into IT performance.
  • Automate repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell or scripting to enhance efficiency and reduce human error.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive IT management experience. Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, enterprise networking, security, and infrastructure management is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in driving IT innovation, managing cross-functional teams, and aligning technology with business objectives. Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
