Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing on-site mechanical works to ensure alignment with project specifications, approved drawings, and industry standards. Your core duties will include:

• Project Supervision and Coordination: Oversee the installation and execution of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration with civil, electrical, and structural components.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all mechanical works adhere to applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements, including conducting regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance.
• Technical Review and Support: Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify potential issues and provide timely solutions. Offer technical guidance to resolve on-site engineering challenges efficiently.
• Project Management: Monitor project progress, coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of projects. Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and support project planning activities.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce HSE regulations and company safety policies through rigorous inspections and audits to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and material records, while providing regular updates to the project management team during site meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in MEP or construction contracting projects, with a strong focus on HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and mechanical systems.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of site execution, testing and commissioning, quality control, and project coordination. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications with precision.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
