Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist - Development Financial Analysis will be responsible for a diverse range of financial activities, including:

• Financial Modelling and Planning: Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and business planning to support long-term strategic initiatives.
• Financial Analysis and Scenario Modelling: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, scenario modelling, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate potential business decisions and their financial implications.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market conditions.
• Management Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports that highlight key financial performance metrics, business trends, and operational insights.
• Variance Analysis: Perform in-depth Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast variance analysis to identify performance drivers, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Financial Reporting Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial reporting across all business units.
• Dashboard and KPI Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Excel dashboards and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Automation and Efficiency: Utilize advanced tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI (or equivalent platforms) to automate reporting processes, enhance data visualization, and improve overall reporting efficiency.
• Executive Reporting: Support the preparation of high-impact executive presentations and reporting materials, translating complex financial data into clear, concise, and actionable business insights.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, finance teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial guidance, support strategic initiatives, and drive financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Financial Analysis, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Management Reporting, with a strong preference for candidates with exposure to Real Estate, Construction, Hospitality, Infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling, data analysis, and automation. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools is essential. Knowledge of Power Query and Power Pivot is a plus.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail, coupled with the capacity to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives. Strong PowerPoint presentation skills and excellent stakeholder management capabilities are required.
