Key Responsibilities

As a Product Specialist in our Sports Medicine division, you will play a central role in executing high-impact marketing strategies and tactical initiatives designed to showcase the superiority of Smith+Nephew’s patented devices and implants. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with Regional Marketing Managers to develop and implement revenue-driven plans that expand market share and strengthen our presence in the region.
• Customer Engagement: Build and nurture enduring relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, purchasers, and decision-makers, through tailored product presentations and educational initiatives.
• Product Training & Education: Conduct comprehensive training sessions to ensure healthcare professionals are proficient in the use of our advanced medical technologies, fostering confidence and adoption.
• Field & Marketing Support: Identify and assess the evolving needs of the field, providing data-driven recommendations to management to enhance support structures and optimize customer experiences.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a vital liaison between the marketing organization and the Business Unit, addressing challenges such as quality issues, manufacturing defects, and operational inefficiencies to ensure seamless product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Operational Excellence in Theatre: Demonstrate technical expertise by scrubbing into surgical procedures, providing real-time guidance to surgeons on product implantation, usage, and techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Local Implementation: Lead the execution of marketing strategies and customer education programs at the country level, ensuring alignment with global objectives while adapting to regional market dynamics.

Qualifications & Skills

To thrive in this role, you will bring a blend of academic excellence, professional experience, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a medical-related field or equivalent discipline.
• At least one year of experience in product marketing, with a preference for candidates who have hands-on experience in clinical or in-theatre marketing environments.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate complex medical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• A results-driven mindset with a proven track record of building strong professional relationships and driving measurable outcomes.
• Technical proficiency in surgical settings, including the ability to assist or advise during procedures involving Smith+Nephew products.
