Power System Optimization Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power System Optimization Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing, analyzing, and reviewing energy allocation plans, performing power system modeling, and supporting operational and planning decisions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Develop, analyze, and review monthly and annual energy allocation plans in line with system capabilities, generation availability, and operational constraints.
• Perform short/medium-term power system modeling and scenario analysis to support operational and planning decisions.
• Support economic dispatch and operational merit-order analysis of generation units to enhance system efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze Short Run Marginal Cost (SRMC) studies and support their application in operational and economic assessments.
• Monitor planned and unplanned generation outages and assess the impact of maintenance programs on system reliability and availability.
• Analyze load, generation, fuel, and renewable energy data, and derive key operational and performance indicators.
• Assess the integration and operational performance of renewable energy resources and their impact on system reliability and flexibility.
• Utilize power system simulation and optimization tools to support planning, operational analysis, and decision-making processes.
• Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate analysis results clearly and effectively.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data consistency, integration, and alignment of technical inputs.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and strong communication skills.
