Financial Controller - Digital Transformation

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Financial Controller to lead our digital transformation agenda, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a unique opportunity to assume full operational ownership of a transformative financial control function, collaborate closely with a proactive CEO and CFO, and establish a foundation of stability rather than reacting to crisis. The role is designed for a forward-thinking finance leader who thrives in building modern, AI-native financial operations from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial maturity of a fast-growing business while embedding yourself within cross-functional commercial teams to co-own profit-and-loss (P&L) outcomes with non-finance leaders.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee a comprehensive portfolio of financial control functions, including:

• Revenue Data Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of revenue data across all systems and processes.
• Supplier Commercial Validation: Conducting rigorous financial validation of supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Customer Proposals: Developing and reviewing financial models for customer proposals to ensure profitability and compliance.
• Offers Sales BOM Compliance: Maintaining alignment between sales offers and bill of materials (BOM) to ensure operational and financial accuracy.
• Contract Financial Governance (CDWR): Overseeing financial governance frameworks for contracts, including clause classification, decision records, and financial exposure assessments.
• Invoicing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Collection: Managing end-to-end invoicing processes, AR reconciliation, and cash flow optimization.
• Business Line P&L Commercial Team Financial Advisory: Providing strategic financial guidance to commercial teams to drive P&L performance.
• AI-First Financial Operations: Leading the implementation and optimization of AI-powered financial tools, including generative AI, agentic workflows, and automation platforms to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a builder—a financial control leader who is passionate about driving digital transformation and modernizing financial operations. The ideal candidate will have:

• 8–10+ years of experience in financial control, commercial finance, or financial planning and analysis (FPA), with at least 2–3 years in a senior or director-level role.
• Managed Services / IT Consulting Experience: Proven track record in organizations with recurring revenue models, particularly in managed services or IT consulting environments.
• AI-Native and Automation-Fluent: Hands-on experience in building or deploying AI agents, agentic workflows, robotic process automation (RPA), ERP workflow automation, and AI-powered analytics platforms. Proficiency with generative AI tools in financial operations is not optional—it is essential.
• Deep Expertise in Revenue Recognition: Practical experience with IFRS 15, including complex service contracts, bundled offerings, and multi-period performance obligations.
• Multi-System Reconciliation: Expertise in reconciling data across ERP, CRM, service management, and analytics platforms while ensuring data integrity governance.
• Commercial Compliance: Strong background in supplier offer validation, customer proposal financial modeling, pricing analysis, contract P&L modeling, and contract governance.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with SAP (FI/CO and SD/PS modules), AI-powered analytics platforms, and modern financial technology stacks.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in managed services, technology, digital, or cloud sectors, with a focus on recurring business models and account-based P&L structures.
• Regional Knowledge: Understanding of the Saudi commercial environment, including VAT, GOSI, Saudi Labour Law, and government procurement processes. Arabic fluency is strongly preferred.
• Communication Excellence: Exceptional written communication skills to produce clear, concise, and decision-ready documents such as commercial offer documents, compliance matrices, and contract exposure analyses.

Desirable Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experiences will be considered advantageous:

• Contract Governance Frameworks: Experience with financial exposure modeling and indemnity quantification, particularly in multi-party contracts within government and energy sectors.
• Regulated-Sector Experience: Background in financial control within regulated industries such as government, energy, banking, or enterprise, with prior exposure to board audit committees.
• Matrix Reporting Structures: Experience working in cross-functional commercial teams or matrix reporting environments where finance collaborates closely with non-finance leaders to co-own commercial outcomes.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of credentials such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, SOCPA, or equivalent professional certifications.
• Generative AI Experience: Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic workflows, or LLM-based tools in production financial environments.
