Position Overview

The Dean of Nursing College will serve as the academic and operational leader for nursing programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education, regulatory compliance, and alignment with institutional objectives. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including the oversight of curriculum design and review, program development, and adherence to accreditation standards and best practices in nursing education. The dean will lead faculty recruitment, mentorship, performance development, and engagement initiatives while fostering a collaborative and student-centered learning environment. Additionally, the role involves managing budgets, contributing to strategic planning, cultivating external partnerships with healthcare providers and regulatory bodies, and representing the college in professional and community forums. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for nursing programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing education.
• Curriculum and Program Development: Oversee the design, review, and continuous improvement of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing curricula to meet evolving educational and industry demands.
• Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure programs meet national and international accreditation standards, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and nursing education benchmarks.
• Faculty Management: Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance development, and engagement initiatives to build a high-performing, motivated, and diverse academic team.
• Strategic Planning and Governance: Contribute to institutional strategic planning, academic governance, and data-informed decision-making to drive program excellence and sustainability.
• Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources while maintaining program quality and compliance.
• External Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, clinics, regulatory bodies, and community organizations to enhance clinical placements, research opportunities, and student engagement.
• Representation and Advocacy: Represent the college in professional forums, conferences, and community events, advocating for nursing education and the college’s mission.
• Student Success: Foster a student-centered learning environment that prioritizes academic excellence, evidence-based practice, and holistic student development.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Advanced degree in Nursing from the United Kingdom, with a Doctorate required.
• Professional Credentials: Valid professional nursing credentials and eligibility to practice or register in relevant jurisdictions, as applicable.
• Experience: Demonstrated expertise in nursing education and academic leadership within a college or university setting.
• Curriculum and Program Development: Proven proficiency in designing and developing undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs.
• Accreditation Knowledge: Experience with accreditation processes, standards, and compliance for nursing and health sciences programs.
• Faculty Development: Strong background in mentoring, performance management, and capacity building for faculty members.
• Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, academic governance, and data-informed decision-making.
