Senior Medical Advisor Immuno-Oncology – Riyadh

As a key member of our Medical Affairs Team, the Senior Medical Advisor in Immuno-Oncology will serve as a strategic bridge between clinical research and cross-functional brand teams. Based in Riyadh, this role is pivotal in shaping and executing scientific initiatives that enhance medical communication, education, and patient outcomes. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining deep expertise in immuno-oncology, ensuring that our scientific insights are both cutting-edge and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, designed to elevate our medical strategies and foster collaboration across teams:

  • External Engagement and Thought Leadership: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with scientific experts, thought leaders, and external organizations within immuno-oncology. Engage through diverse channels, including one-on-one discussions, group presentations, and virtual meetings, to disseminate accurate, compliant, and impactful medical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Medical Insights and Landscape Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze the evolving medical landscape, including product trends, clinical trials, scientific advancements, and unmet patient needs. Stay ahead of the competitive landscape to proactively address the informational requirements of our stakeholders and contribute meaningful insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Program Development and Execution: Design and deliver scientifically rigorous medical program proposals, ensuring seamless execution of activities such as Advisory Boards, Satellite Symposia, and scientific roundtables. Lead cross-functional collaboration to integrate medical perspectives into key initiatives, aligning efforts with overarching strategic goals.
  • Strategic Collaboration and Coaching: Provide expert knowledge and strategic guidance to both local and global medical teams, as well as commercial organizations, to shape evidence-based strategies. Mentor colleagues on enhancing their scientific capabilities and proactively contribute to the advancement of our Neuroscience portfolio as a trusted internal reference point.
  • Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR): Develop and present HEOR evidence to support regulatory bodies, healthcare organizations, and payers, ensuring that our medical strategies are grounded in robust data and aligned with global standards.
  • Compliance and Ethical Leadership: Uphold the highest standards of compliance, adhering to all internal and external regulations. Act as a role model for ethical behavior, promptly addressing any compliance concerns and fostering a culture of integrity within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of advanced scientific acumen and hands-on experience in immuno-oncology:

  • Education: Hold an advanced scientific degree, such as a PharmD, PhD, or MD.
  • Experience: Possess at least five years of experience in a medical or scientific role, with deep expertise in immuno-oncology. Your experience should include proficiency in the healthcare environment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), where you will play a critical role in shaping local and regional strategies.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate exceptional ability to translate complex scientific or clinical data into clear, compelling narratives for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic Mindset: Combine analytical rigor with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to drive impactful medical strategies and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
