Key Responsibilities

You will lead our accounting department with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Direct and mentor the accounting team to ensure seamless daily operations, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and professional growth.
• Financial Reporting and Closing: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, guaranteeing the integrity and timeliness of financial statements, general ledger entries, and reconciliations to meet both IFRS and ZATCA regulatory requirements.
• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with IFRS, VAT, WHT (Withholding Tax), Zakat, and corporate tax regulations, mitigating risks and avoiding penalties through meticulous oversight.
• Internal Controls and Audit Support: Strengthen internal financial controls, coordinate with external auditors, and address audit findings to enhance transparency and operational resilience.
• Financial Systems and ERP Management: Maintain the integrity of our ERP accounting systems, manage the chart of accounts, and ensure seamless integration with other financial processes, including banking transactions, loan accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, reporting, budgeting, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment, accuracy, and consistency in financial data and reporting.
• Strategic Advisory: Provide expert financial guidance to senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting long-term business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a robust blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a commitment to financial excellence. We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred and will be recognized.
• Experience: A minimum of 7+ years in accounting, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity, demonstrating your ability to manage teams and drive operational excellence.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, taxation, VAT, Zakat, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Industry Preference: Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or multi-entity organizations is a significant advantage, given our industry-specific challenges and requirements.
• Leadership and Analytical Skills: Strong leadership abilities to inspire and develop teams, coupled with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex financial challenges.
