Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Specialist - General Ledger to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a cornerstone of our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our general ledger. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial controls, driving efficient month-end and year-end closing processes, and delivering transparent financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist - General Ledger will be responsible for a wide range of critical financial activities, including:

• General Ledger Management: Oversee the processing of journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Lead account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly, safeguarding the integrity of financial records.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, for internal stakeholders and external auditors. Ensure all financial reporting complies with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as applicable.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Drive the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Ensure all financial close activities are documented and aligned with corporate policies.
• Audit & Regulatory Support: Act as a key liaison with internal and external auditors during periodic audits, providing detailed documentation, explanations, and support to facilitate smooth audit processes. Address audit findings proactively and implement corrective actions to strengthen internal controls.
• Process Improvement & Controls: Evaluate existing accounting procedures and controls, identifying opportunities for enhancement to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Recommend and implement best practices to mitigate financial risks and optimize operational workflows.
• Regulatory & Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of evolving accounting regulations, standards, and industry trends to ensure the company remains compliant with all financial reporting requirements. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to expand your expertise in general ledger accounting.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or a closely related field. Prior exposure to month-end and year-end closing processes is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including IFRS or GAAP, and hands-on experience with accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Familiarity with tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications: Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
