Position Overview

Saudi Business Machines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Onsite Software License Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will serve as the primary technical resource for clients, ensuring seamless software license management, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities

• Onsite Technical Support: Provide hands-on, onsite technical assistance to clients for software license-related issues, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Ensure minimal downtime and swift resolution of technical challenges.
• License Management: Oversee the lifecycle of software licenses, from procurement and activation to renewal and compliance. Monitor license usage to prevent unauthorized access or violations of software agreements.
• Client Communication: Act as the liaison between clients and internal teams, translating technical issues into clear, actionable solutions. Maintain professional and proactive communication to build trust and long-term relationships with stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex software license issues, including errors, conflicts, and compatibility challenges. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incident reports, resolutions, and client interactions. Generate detailed reports to track performance metrics and identify trends for continuous improvement.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on software license best practices, new features, and compliance requirements. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing to enhance team capabilities.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to software licensing agreements, industry regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks associated with unauthorized software usage or vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software licensing, ITIL, or Microsoft/Cisco technologies are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, including perpetual, subscription-based, and open-source licenses. Familiarity with license management tools, such as Flexera, Sentinel, or Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities to resolve complex software issues efficiently. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) is advantageous.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer Service Orientation: A customer-centric mindset with a proven track record of delivering high-quality support in fast-paced environments. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively within Saudi Arabia to provide onsite support at client locations. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
