We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Business/Product Developer with a specialized focus on medical business development to join our leadership team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of strategic vision, technical acumen, and commercial expertise to bridge the gap between our research and development initiatives and the ever-evolving healthcare market. As the driving force behind our product lifecycle and commercial expansion, you will play a critical role in transforming clinical insights into innovative, compliant, and profitable medical solutions. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the medical or healthcare sector, a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a proven track record of identifying market opportunities to drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

This dual-faceted role encompasses both product development and business expansion, requiring a strategic mindset and the ability to execute with precision. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Product Development & Strategy:
  • Spearhead the entire product development lifecycle for new medical devices, software, or solutions, from initial concept and prototyping through regulatory clearance and market launch.
  • Interpret complex clinical needs and market feedback into actionable product requirements, ensuring alignment with both technical feasibility and commercial viability.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs teams to guarantee compliance with global and regional standards, including SFDA, ISO 13485, CE marking, and HIPAA.
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic product roadmap that aligns with the company’s long-term strategic objectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact solutions.
• Business Development & Commercialization:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to uncover emerging trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive threats within the healthcare landscape.
  • Create compelling business cases for new product initiatives, incorporating financial modeling, return on investment projections, and pricing strategies to ensure commercial success.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical research organizations, and potential distribution partners to enhance market penetration and credibility.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to design and implement go-to-market strategies, commercialization plans, and sales enablement tools that drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Assess potential licensing, acquisition, or co-development opportunities to expand our product portfolio and strengthen our market position.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in product development, product management, or business development, with a strong focus on the medical, healthcare, or MedTech industry.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical product lifecycles, regulatory requirements, and commercialization processes within the healthcare sector.
• Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to identify market gaps, evaluate commercial viability, and translate clinical needs into scalable business solutions.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, QA/RA, sales, and marketing.
• Analytical & Financial Acumen: Strong financial modeling, ROI analysis, and pricing strategy skills to support data-driven decision-making.
• Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with global and regional regulatory standards, such as SFDA, ISO 13485, CE marking, and HIPAA, is highly desirable.
