Tech Planning Expert

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Tech Planning Expert to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of our technology infrastructure by developing and executing comprehensive technology plans that align with our business objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating service requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across our MCN and BCN networks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive innovation while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The Tech Planning Expert will be responsible for a wide range of strategic and operational tasks, including:

• Technical Specification Development: Establish a robust framework to convert MCN and BCN service and network requirements into precise technical specifications, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and feature definitions. Ensure these specifications are aligned with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Technology Architecture Translation: Convert MCN and BCN technology architecture and designs into actionable delivery plans. This includes determining the number of required sites, nodes, platforms, resilience levels, and failover capabilities to guarantee uninterrupted service delivery across all regions.
• Future Network Assessment: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, testing methodologies, and business architecture implications to support service enhancements and innovation. Stay ahead of industry trends to anticipate and plan for future network needs.
• Scalable Infrastructure Design: Develop comprehensive infrastructure and network expansion plans that not only accommodate current demands but also seamlessly integrate future technologies. Ensure these plans support scalability, flexibility, and long-term growth.
• Budget Estimation and Management: Prepare accurate forecasts for technology budgets and expenditures related to new technologies, network expansions, and service upgrades. Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams to allocate resources efficiently and ensure cost-effective technology investments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Strategy & Governance, Finance, and Commercial sectors to align technology financial strategies with organizational objectives. Foster strong partnerships to drive informed decision-making and optimize infrastructure investments.
• Validation and Compliance: Participate in lab testing and validation activities to ensure network and application compliance with performance standards and SLAs before deployment. Conduct rigorous benchmarking reviews to align testing parameters with evolving network performance targets and user expectations.
• Proof of Concept Development: Contribute to the creation of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for prospective MCN and BCN customers. Showcase our technological capabilities to enhance customer confidence and improve win rates, in close coordination with the Commercial sector.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in technology planning, network infrastructure, or a related discipline. Candidates with hands-on experience in MCN and BCN network planning will be highly preferred.
