End user Computing Engineer

Role Overview

As an End User Computing (EUC) Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing enterprise-wide end-user computing platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of endpoint management, including the deployment, administration, and security of operating systems, collaboration tools, and software solutions. You will ensure seamless day-to-day operations for end-users while maintaining high standards of device security, compliance, and performance. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement of the computing environment to support organizational productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Endpoint Management: Oversee the lifecycle of enterprise endpoints, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring they are configured, updated, and secured in alignment with organizational policies.
• Software Deployment & Packaging: Develop and deploy software packages using advanced tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and Workspace ONE, ensuring timely and accurate distribution across the enterprise.
• Operating System Administration: Administer and maintain Windows 10/11 environments, including image management, system updates, and performance optimization to enhance user experience and system reliability.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce endpoint security measures, including patch management, compliance checks, and Group Policy Object (GPO) configurations, to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Collaboration Tools & Remote Support: Facilitate seamless collaboration by managing and supporting enterprise collaboration tools, while providing timely remote assistance to resolve user issues and minimize downtime.
• Automation & Monitoring: Leverage endpoint automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance efficiency, and proactively monitor endpoint health to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
• Mobile Device Management (MDM): Administer and secure mobile devices through MDM solutions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and protecting sensitive data across all endpoints.

Technical Expertise

To excel in this role, you must possess hands-on experience with a range of technical tools and platforms, including:

• Workspace ONE (formerly Omnissa): Proficiency in deploying and managing Workspace ONE for unified endpoint management (UEM) and secure access.
• Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM): Strong expertise in software deployment, patch management, and system administration using SCCM/MECM.
• Windows 10/11 Administration: In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, including image management, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Endpoint Security: Experience with endpoint security solutions, compliance frameworks, and patch management to safeguard organizational assets.
• Group Policy (GPO): Ability to design, implement, and manage Group Policy Objects to enforce security and configuration standards across the enterprise.
• Mobile Device Management (MDM): Familiarity with MDM solutions to manage and secure mobile devices in compliance with corporate policies.
• Microsoft 365 Integration: Understanding of Microsoft 365 tools and their integration with end-user computing environments to enhance productivity and collaboration.
