Senior Business Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with specialized expertise in the Air Cargo domain to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring seamless project execution and alignment with organizational objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of air cargo operations, including export, import, air waybill (AWB) processing, cargo handling, and warehouse management, along with a proven track record in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Lead the collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements from stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
• User Story Development: Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to guide development teams in delivering high-quality solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate requirement grooming sessions and engage in discussions with stakeholders to clarify needs, resolve ambiguities, and prioritize deliverables.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Assist in UAT activities, perform defect analysis, and contribute to release planning to ensure smooth deployment and operational readiness.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and drive project success.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements within air cargo operations, leveraging analytical skills to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Air Cargo processes, including Export, Import, AWB management, Cargo Handling, and Warehouse Operations.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for project management, documentation, and collaboration.
• Methodology Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and best practices.
• Communication & Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate complex information clearly, analyze data, and derive actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Cargo Ground Handling Experience: Prior experience in Cargo Ground Handling is a critical requirement; candidates without this background will not be considered.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5-7 years specifically in the Air Cargo domain.

Work Arrangement & Location

This is a Work From Office (WFO) position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Candidates must be fluent in both Arabic and English to facilitate seamless communication with local and international stakeholders.
