Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Radiology Registrar to join our esteemed team in Riyadh. Key Responsibilities
The Diagnostic Radiology Registrar will be entrusted with the following core duties and accountabilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, document clinical findings, and design individualized care plans to address each patient’s unique health needs.
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Order, perform, and interpret a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to accurately diagnose medical conditions.
- Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients on their health conditions, required investigations, treatment options, and medication usage. Provide guidance on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications tailored to individual patient needs.
- Medication Management: Prescribe medications as necessary, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and patient safety protocols.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including those set by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH).
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective working relationships with colleagues across various departments, local agencies, vendors, and patients to ensure seamless and coordinated healthcare delivery.
- Quality Improvement: Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, program evaluations, and adherence to clinical standards to enhance patient outcomes and operational excellence.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including participation in educational rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs. Contribute to the mentorship and training of junior staff to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Specialty-Specific Duties: Perform tasks aligned with your specialty and clinical privileges, as outlined by the Saudi Health Council and NCC guidelines. These may include advanced imaging techniques, interventional radiology procedures, or other specialized duties based on your expertise.
- Administrative and Operational Compliance: Adhere to all NCC policies, bylaws, strategic plans, and regulatory requirements. Participate in relevant committees and task forces to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Work Environment and Schedule
The Diagnostic Radiology Registrar will operate in a fully indoor clinical setting, with a structured work schedule comprising six working days and one designated day off per week. Working hours are aligned with an 8-hour daily shift, as approved by the Head of Department, ensuring a balanced and sustainable workload.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Master’s degree in a related specialty from an accredited university, OR Fellowship with approval from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience following the completion of a Master’s degree or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the relevant specialty.
- Licensure and Certification:
- Valid SCFHS license as a Registrar in the related specialty.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in office and health information systems to ensure efficient documentation and data management.
- Language Skills:
- Fluent proficiency in both English and Arabic, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
