HSE OFFICER

Position Overview

Delta Engineering Middle East Services is seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Officer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while fostering a culture of safety excellence across our operations. Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to local, regional, and international HSE laws, standards, and company policies to ensure full compliance and minimize legal risks.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement effective control measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
• Safety Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring awareness of best practices.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into workplace incidents, near-misses, and environmental violations, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Environmental Stewardship: Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental footprint and align with corporate sustainability goals.
• Audit and Inspection Support: Assist in internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and assessments, providing accurate documentation and recommendations for improvement.
• Emergency Preparedness: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for potential crises such as fires, spills, or medical emergencies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between management, employees, regulatory bodies, and contractors to facilitate transparent communication and alignment on HSE objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in HSE roles, preferably within the engineering, construction, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in HSE management systems, such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or OHSAS 18001, and familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, interpret data, and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in HSE software and tools for reporting, training, and compliance tracking.
