Key Responsibilities

• System Design & Development: Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of steam and thermal systems, including boilers, heat exchangers, condensers, and distribution networks, utilizing advanced engineering software and tools to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Thermal Analysis & Simulation: Conduct comprehensive thermal analyses, heat balance studies, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to evaluate system performance, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven improvements that enhance reliability and reduce operational costs.
• Project Management: Oversee end-to-end project execution, from initial feasibility studies and budgeting to procurement, installation, and commissioning, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure all steam and thermal systems adhere to international codes, local regulations, and safety protocols, including ASME, API, and OSHA standards, while implementing robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies to safeguard personnel and assets.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance through data analytics, predictive maintenance techniques, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime, energy efficiency, and longevity of thermal infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in steam and thermal systems, providing expert guidance to maintenance teams and recommending upgrades or retrofits to enhance system resilience and adaptability to evolving operational demands.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering drawings, and compliance documentation, maintaining accurate records of system modifications, maintenance activities, and performance metrics for audits and future reference.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) in thermal engineering or a specialized discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in steam and thermal systems engineering, with a proven track record in designing, commissioning, or optimizing such systems within industrial, power generation, or oil & gas sectors.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, EES) and familiarity with industry-specific tools for thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, and system modeling.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to diagnosing technical challenges and implementing effective solutions.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams, present technical findings to non-engineering stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers or technicians.
• Certifications: Valid professional certifications in steam systems, thermal engineering, or related disciplines are a plus.
