Key Responsibilities

As a Fireman/Firefighter, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of firefighting and emergency response duties to ensure the safety of personnel, property, and the environment. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Fire Suppression: Responding promptly to fire incidents, assessing risks, and implementing effective firefighting strategies to mitigate hazards.
  • Emergency Medical Response: Providing first aid and CPR assistance during emergencies, collaborating with medical teams, and ensuring timely evacuation of casualties.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling: Managing hazardous material incidents, including containment, neutralization, and disposal, in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Rescue Operations: Conducting search and rescue missions in challenging environments, including confined spaces, high-rise buildings, and industrial sites.
  • Fire Prevention Education: Promoting fire safety awareness through training sessions, drills, and educational campaigns to minimize risks and enhance preparedness.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspecting, testing, and maintaining firefighting equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and fire suppression systems.
  • Incident Reporting: Documenting emergency incidents, preparing detailed reports, and analyzing incidents to identify trends and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

  • Education: A Diploma or equivalent qualification in Fire Fighting from a recognized institution.
  • Certifications: Valid firefighter certification such as NFPA, emergency response, rescue operations, disaster management, first aid, and CPR certificates issued by accredited firefighting training institutes, including civil defense.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in firefighting, emergency response, or a related field.
  • Physical Fitness: Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and operating in high-stress environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in firefighting practices, PPE usage, SCBA operations, and emergency incident response procedures.
  • Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, communication, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Age and Religion: Candidates must be below 30 years of age and adhere to the requirement of being Muslim.
