Key Responsibilities

As an NCS (Network Control Systems) Engineer at Yokogawa, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing engineering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability. Your responsibilities will include:

• Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering solutions by conducting feasibility testing and providing data-driven feedback to validate designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet technical and business objectives.
• Engineering Standards Specification: Support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications under the guidance of senior colleagues. Evaluate the effectiveness of these standards to ensure they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Engineering Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to assess the quality of engineering works and the integrity of existing installations or structures. Provide recommendations for remedial actions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
• Contract Management: Coordinate activities with subcontractors and suppliers to deliver project outcomes. Act as the primary point of contact for external partners while adhering to established contract management plans and ensuring timely delivery of results.
• Improvement and Innovation: Identify inefficiencies in existing processes, systems, and procedures. Utilize established change management programs to implement improvements and drive innovation within the organization.
• Knowledge Management System: Provide support and guidance to colleagues to maximize the utilization of knowledge management systems. Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Product and/or Solution Development: Engage in product and solution development activities by analyzing customer needs and defining deliverables. Utilize established systems to ensure products and services meet market demands and technical specifications.
• Project Management: Work within established project management frameworks to achieve specific goals and deliverables. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
• Personal Capability Building: Develop your professional capabilities through participation in assessment and development planning activities, formal and informal training, and coaching. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies, external regulations, and industry best practices through continuous education, conference attendance, and engagement with specialist media.
