SKILLED HELPER

Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Skilled Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our production process by supporting operators and lead operators in ensuring efficient and safe operations. Your responsibilities will include executing packing tasks, adhering to instructions, and maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our operational excellence while fostering continuous improvement in our occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing Process Support: Perform packing duties under the direct supervision of the Operator and Lead Operator, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
• Instruction Adherence: Follow detailed instructions provided by the Operator and Assistant Operator to maintain consistency and quality in production processes.
• Finished Goods Arrangement: Organize and arrange finished goods on pallets in a manner that optimizes space and ensures stability for safe transport and storage.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance: Strictly comply with all safety protocols and environmental guidelines. Actively participate in toolbox talks conducted by the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) officer to stay informed about best practices and potential hazards.
• OH&S Management System Engagement: Contribute to the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and improvement actions of the OH&S management system. Your input is valuable in fostering a culture of safety and continuous enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. While formal education may vary, a commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency is essential. Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting is beneficial but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.

This position is based in a fast-paced production facility where teamwork and adherence to protocols are critical. You will work alongside experienced operators and lead operators, contributing to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
