Pump E&I QC Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pump Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Quality Control Engineer to join our dynamic team at FLS Al-Rushaid Co. Ltd. in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in all electrical and instrumentation systems associated with our pump operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence, minimizing downtime, and supporting the company’s commitment to delivering superior products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance and Control: Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and validation of electrical and instrumentation components in pump systems to ensure adherence to international standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing and installation phases.
• Compliance and Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain detailed documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, and compliance records. Ensure all processes align with industry best practices, ISO standards, and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, technicians, and contractors during the design, installation, and commissioning of pump systems. Troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation issues, offering innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Safety and Risk Management: Champion a culture of safety by identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing preventive measures. Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work complies with local and international safety regulations, including NEC, IEC, and OSHA standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between the quality control team, project managers, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and alignment. Participate in project meetings, provide status updates, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Training and Development: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to enhance the team’s capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation quality control, preferably within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors, is essential. Proficiency in industry standards such as API, ASME, and ISO is highly desirable.

Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and experience with tools such as SAP, AutoCAD, or similar software will be advantageous.
