Key Responsibilities

The Consultant Physician will play a central role in patient management, from initial assessment to discharge, while adhering to Fakeeh Care’s bylaws, policies, and procedures. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional assessments of patients, documenting findings meticulously in medical records. Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans that align with established standards of care and ensure timely implementation.
• Inpatient Management: Serve as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for inpatients under your care, conducting daily assessments and documenting progress using the SOAP format. Develop and execute discharge plans on the day of admission, collaborating with discharge-planning services as needed to facilitate seamless transitions.
• Medical Consultations and Interventions: Respond promptly to medical consultations and document all interventions performed on patients in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure strict adherence to Fakeeh Care’s documentation standards for medical records.
• Discharge and Follow-Up: Complete and authenticate discharge summaries for all inpatients under your care, ensuring patients receive clear instructions on take-home medications and follow-up care prior to discharge. Prepare medical reports in accordance with Fakeeh Care’s prescribed format and timelines.
• Clinical and Educational Contributions: Participate in departmental meetings, staff gatherings, and teaching rounds as requested by the chairperson of the medical department. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to empower them in managing their health.
• Operational and Administrative Duties: Attend to facility duties and respond to calls as per the departmental or section call schedule. Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction within the healthcare facility.

• Compliance and Professional Development: Uphold Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, policies, and ethical standards. Complete mandatory education and training requirements at least one month prior to expiration to ensure ongoing competency and compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education and Training: Completion of structured training in the field of specialty or subspecialty at a recognized medical center, along with obtaining the highest clinical degree in that specialty as granted by the center.
• Clinical Experience: Demonstrable experience in the field of specialty, as required by the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA, or equivalent), within recognized medical centers.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of both oral and written English and Arabic to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Technical and Soft Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. Exceptional communication skills are essential for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing compassionate patient care.
• Licensure and Certification: Valid license to practice as per the regional health regulatory authority, ensuring compliance with local healthcare regulations.
