As our DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless performance, reliability, and security across a diverse set of database platforms, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL/MariaDB, and Microsoft SQL Server. Your work will directly impact system availability, data integrity, and operational efficiency, making this a strategic role within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead database infrastructure management by overseeing PostgreSQL with Patroni, MongoDB replica sets, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQL Server Always On configurations to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies, including automated failover mechanisms, replication, and comprehensive recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Optimize database performance through advanced tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency.
• Plan, execute, and support database migrations, upgrades, and patching while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Enforce stringent security protocols, including access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate risks.
• Provide on-site technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with teams to resolve complex database-related challenges.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations, ensuring rapid incident response and resolution to maintain operational continuity.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to foster knowledge sharing and improve team efficiency.

What You Bring to the Table

We are seeking a **highly skilled Database Administrator** with the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on DBA experience in production environments, with a proven track record of managing enterprise databases.
• Proficient expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL/MariaDB, including high availability (HA), replication, performance tuning, and migration strategies.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery tools such as pgBackRest, Percona XtraBackup, PBM, and SQL Server native backup utilities.
• Exceptional communication skills in both English and Arabic, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Eligibility to work as a Saudi National in compliance with local regulations.
• Availability to work during standard business hours (13:00–21:00, Sunday to Thursday, Saudi Arabia time) and the ability to contribute to a team-oriented, client-facing environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experience will be highly valued:

• Experience with Kubernetes database operators, such as the Zalando Patroni Operator or Percona Operators.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and time-series databases, including Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Prior exposure to ITIL-based environments, demonstrating a structured approach to IT service management.
