Key Responsibilities

The General Pediatrics Senior Specialist will play a multifaceted role in patient care and healthcare delivery, with the following core responsibilities:

• Patient Diagnosis and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and provide evidence-based treatment plans in alignment with Fakeeh Care’s standards, policies, and granted privileges.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all patient encounters, treatments, and care plans in accordance with Fakeeh Care’s documentation policies and procedures. Ensure medical reports are prepared and delivered promptly and in the required format.
• Patient and Family Education: Collaborate with attending physicians to educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Foster a supportive environment that empowers families to make informed healthcare decisions.
• Medical Procedures and Collaboration: Perform or assist in medical and surgical procedures as permitted by granted privileges. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
• Professional Development and Training: Actively participate in departmental meetings, scientific activities, and training sessions. Contribute to the mentorship and professional growth of junior physicians and medical staff.
• Policy Adherence and Continuous Improvement: Develop a deep understanding of Fakeeh Care’s policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Proactively engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, and comply with cybersecurity policies to safeguard Fakeeh Care’s systems and data. Complete mandatory education and training requirements in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Hold a Saudi Specialty Certificate or an equivalent credential in health sciences from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Possess 0 to 3 years of post-certification experience in pediatric care within recognized hospitals or health centers.
• Licenses and Certifications: Maintain a valid license to practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA). Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, with advanced life support certifications preferred where applicable.
• Language Proficiency: Demonstrate excellent oral and written proficiency in English, with fluency in Arabic considered a strong asset.
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, and non-medical staff.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in presenting complex medical information to diverse audiences, including public groups and senior management.
