About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiology Consultant to join our esteemed healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

As a Cardiology Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Clinical Assessment and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional evaluations. Document all findings meticulously in patients’ medical records to ensure continuity of care.
• Care Planning and Implementation: Develop evidence-based care plans for patients, adhering to established standards and documenting them in medical records. Ensure timely implementation of these plans and monitor patient progress closely.
• Inpatient Management: Serve as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for inpatients under your care. Create and execute discharge plans on the day of admission, involving discharge-planning services as needed. Conduct daily assessments of inpatients, documenting progress notes in SOAP format to track their recovery.
• Consultation and Intervention: Respond promptly to medical consultations and document all interventions performed. Maintain strict adherence to documentation standards as outlined by Fakeeh Care policies.
• Discharge and Follow-Up: Ensure the timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries for all inpatients under your care. Provide patients with clear discharge instructions, education on take-home medications, and any necessary follow-up care.
• Facility and Departmental Engagement: Attend to duties at Fakeeh Health Care facilities and respond to calls as per the departmental or section call schedule. Participate actively in departmental and general staff meetings, contributing innovative ideas to enhance efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
• Medical Reporting and Education: Write medical reports for patients in a timely manner, following Fakeeh Care’s standardized formats. Contribute to teaching rounds and other educational activities as requested by the medical department chairperson. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Continuous Improvement and Compliance: Uphold Fakeeh’s Person-Centered care values in all duties and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to safety protocols, maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, and comply with Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, policies, and ethical standards. Complete mandatory education requirements at least one month prior to expiration.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications and competencies:

• Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and non-medical staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to support clinical documentation and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
• Experience: Completion of a fellowship or equivalent experience in cardiology within recognized medical centers, as mandated by regional health regulatory authorities.
• Education: Board certification or fellowship in Cardiology, as recognized by the relevant health regulatory body.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid license to practice as per regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any advanced life support certifications applicable to the role.
