As the Technical Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in steering a high-impact banking technology program from inception to scale. Your Impact

Your responsibilities will be both strategic and hands-on, ensuring that every phase of the delivery lifecycle is executed with precision and agility. Key areas of ownership include:

• End-to-End Delivery Leadership: Take full accountability for the scope, planning, quality, timeline, and budget of a large-scale banking technology program. Select and implement the optimal delivery approach—whether Agile, Scaled Agile, hybrid, or gated SDLC—while aligning with the client’s existing frameworks.
• Change Control & Commercial Governance: Govern change requests with meticulous assessment, negotiation, and client approval processes to ensure alignment with contractual commitments. Monitor commercial health by comparing forecasted versus actual effort, burn rates, and delivery efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Delivery Governance: Establish and maintain effective steering committees, status reviews, risk management, and dependency tracking to keep projects on track. Ensure consistency in quality and pace across distributed teams and multi-vendor ecosystems.
• Release Readiness & Go-Live Execution: Oversee cutover planning, go-live strategies, hypercare, and post-production stabilization to ensure a smooth transition and long-term stability.
• Technical Judgment & Risk Management: Deeply understand the architecture of the systems you deliver—integration patterns, API design, and system dependencies—to challenge assumptions and mitigate risks. Differentiate between realistic and padded estimates, and sequence work based on technical risk, including integration dependencies, data migration, and non-functional requirements.
• Test Strategy & Solution Alignment: Ensure the test strategy is robust enough to handle banking release cycles, covering SIT, UAT, and comprehensive regression testing. Act as the delivery counterpart to solution architecture, translating design decisions into actionable plans, cost assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary delivery contact for client executives, business owners, and technology leadership. Build trusted relationships based on delivery credibility, not just reporting cadence, and ensure alignment with the client’s business priorities and regulatory obligations. Proactively surface risks and manage escalations to resolution.
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse, multi-cultural delivery team—including business analysts, engineers, test leads, and scrum masters—fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with solution architects and product owners to ensure solutions are both technically sound and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in technology delivery, particularly within the banking, financial services, or fintech sectors. Your expertise should span both in-house and consulting environments, where you’ve successfully delivered complex integration and technology projects. Ideal candidates will possess:

• 8+ Years of Experience: A robust background in technology delivery, with a significant portion (preferably 5+ years) in banking, financial services, or fintech. Experience could include roles in-house at financial institutions, fintech startups, or as a consultant delivering integration and technology projects.
• Technical Foundations: A strong technical background, whether through engineering, integration, or technical business analysis. You should be able to engage confidently in system design discussions, understand integration patterns, API design, and system dependencies without relying on intermediaries.
• End-to-End Program Ownership: A demonstrated history of leading a banking technology program from start to finish, including go-live and post-implementation stabilization. Your leadership should have delivered measurable outcomes in terms of efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
• API-Led & Integration Expertise: Practical experience with API-led architectures, integration-heavy delivery, and platforms such as API management gateways, microservices, event-driven flows, and core banking integrations. Familiarity with modern integration tools and methodologies is a must.
• Methodology Versatility: Experience working across multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scaled Agile (e.g., SAFe), hybrid models, and traditional gated SDLC frameworks. You should be adept at tailoring approaches to meet client-specific needs.
• Stakeholder & Risk Management: Exceptional skills in managing client relationships, aligning delivery with business priorities, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Your ability to communicate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders will be critical.
• Leadership & Mentorship: A proven ability to lead and develop teams in a multi-cultural, multi-location environment. You should thrive in collaborative settings, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
