Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations by processing accounting entries, conducting cost analyses, and supporting both internal and external audits. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency of our financial reporting and ensure compliance with international standards. This position is based in Saudi Arabia and requires hands-on experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Accounting Operations: Process and review accounting entries in SAP to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial records. Maintain up-to-date documentation to support all financial transactions.
• Cost Accounting: Perform comprehensive cost accounting for two manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia, including the preparation of detailed cost analysis reports. Monitor and analyze inventory turnover to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
• Inventory and Asset Management: Participate in periodic inventory counts and asset verifications to ensure alignment with financial records. Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Audit Support: Facilitate external audits conducted by headquarters or local authorities by providing all necessary internal and external documentation. Collaborate closely with auditors to address inquiries and resolve any outstanding issues promptly.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the HQ Finance Department to execute assigned tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Prepare and present financial reports to support decision-making processes at various levels of the company.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the HQ Finance Department to support the broader financial objectives of the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken and written English is required to effectively communicate with stakeholders and prepare documentation.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in cost accounting within manufacturing enterprises. A strong understanding of standard costing systems and inventory management principles is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is mandatory. Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Analytical Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
