Key Responsibilities

The Investment Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing ICG’s investment strategy, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and market priorities. The role involves a multifaceted approach to investment management, including opportunity identification, financial analysis, strategic partnerships, and governance. Below are the core responsibilities of this position:

Investment Strategy & Opportunity Identification

• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute ICG’s investment strategy, ensuring all initiatives are closely aligned with our long-term objectives, core capabilities, and market priorities.
• Market Research & Sourcing: Conduct in-depth research across Saudi Arabia and regional markets to identify investment opportunities, emerging sectors, innovative business models, and disruptive technologies that align with ICG’s growth ambitions.
• Investment Thesis Development: Formulate compelling investment theses and strategic recommendations that outline the rationale, potential impact, and expected outcomes of proposed investments.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of potential investment opportunities, including acquisitions, ventures, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality prospects for evaluation.

Financial & Commercial Analysis

• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Develop sophisticated financial models, business cases, and valuation analyses to assess the viability, scalability, and financial potential of investment opportunities.
• Revenue & Profitability Assessment: Analyze revenue potential, profitability margins, cash flow projections, capital requirements, and expected returns to inform investment decisions.
• Due Diligence Support: Lead or support comprehensive due diligence activities across financial, commercial, operational, market, and strategic dimensions to validate investment opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Investment Recommendations: Prepare detailed investment recommendations, executive presentations, and decision materials for senior leadership, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals.

Strategic Partnerships & Ventures

• Venture & Capability Expansion: Evaluate and support the establishment of new ventures, capabilities, platforms, and strategic businesses that enhance ICG’s portfolio and market position.
• Partnership & Acquisition Strategy: Assess opportunities for joint ventures, strategic partnerships, minority investments, acquisitions, and other growth structures that align with ICG’s investment strategy.
• Revenue Growth Initiatives: Identify and pursue investment opportunities that create new revenue streams, strengthen existing capabilities, or unlock synergies across ICG’s business lines.
• Collaboration with Business Leaders: Work closely with business-line leaders to evaluate opportunities for portfolio expansion and ensure seamless integration of new investments into ICG’s operations.

Investment Governance & Performance Tracking

• Governance & Reporting: Prepare investment papers, executive presentations, and decision materials to support governance processes and secure approvals from ICG’s leadership and stakeholders.
• Pipeline & Performance Monitoring: Maintain accurate reporting on the investment pipeline, performance tracking, and post-investment reviews to ensure alignment with business plans and expected outcomes.
• Risk Assessment & Compliance: Support governance frameworks, risk assessments, and post-investment performance reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ICG’s internal policies.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights

• Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and market developments across AI, digital transformation, infrastructure, consulting, climate, cybersecurity, and emerging sectors.
• Opportunity Identification: Leverage market intelligence to identify strategic investment opportunities that align with ICG’s growth objectives and Vision 2030 priorities.
• Executive Reporting: Provide senior leadership with actionable market and investment intelligence, enabling informed decision-making and proactive strategy adjustments.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and deep market knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in investment management, corporate development, or related fields, with a strong understanding of Saudi Arabia’s business and investment landscape. Key qualifications include:

• Professional Experience: 5–10+ years of relevant experience in investment management, corporate development, strategy consulting, private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), or financial advisory.
• Financial Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, business case development, valuation methodologies, and corporate finance principles.
• Investment Evaluation: Hands-on experience evaluating investments, acquisitions, partnerships, ventures, or strategic growth opportunities, with a keen eye for risk and return.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial and market data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of Saudi Arabia’s business ecosystem, investment trends, and regulatory environment, particularly in technology, consulting, AI, digital transformation, or infrastructure sectors.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to executive leadership in a compelling and persuasive manner.
