Financial Director – Strategic Leadership in Transportation & Logistics Finance

As the Financial Director, you will be responsible for steering the company’s financial vision, optimizing performance, and fostering a culture of financial discipline and innovation. Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the following critical areas:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and market dynamics. Develop robust financial models to support expansion, cost optimization, and investment decisions.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation, review, and presentation of consolidated financial statements in strict adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ensure full compliance with Saudi tax regulations, including VAT and Zakat, while managing relationships with banks, financing institutions, and external auditors.
• Treasury & Liquidity Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow, liquidity, and treasury operations across all entities to mitigate financial risks and support operational agility. Implement robust internal control frameworks and coordinate both internal and external audits to uphold financial integrity.
• Cost & Operational Efficiency: Drive initiatives to enhance working capital efficiency and reduce operational costs. Conduct in-depth analysis of cost-per-kilometer and cost-per-trip metrics to identify opportunities for profitability improvement and operational optimization.
• Pricing & Contract Profitability: Support the analysis of freight and logistics agreements to ensure pricing strategies align with profitability goals. Analyze fuel price fluctuations and their impact on operating margins, recommending mitigation strategies to safeguard financial performance.
• Fleet & Capital Investments: Provide financial guidance on fleet expansion decisions, including lease-vs-buy analyses, and manage CAPEX planning to maximize returns on investment. Play a key role in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, contributing to due diligence and financial structuring.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a talent pipeline that ensures succession readiness and continuous professional growth.
• Executive Reporting: Present financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic insights to the Group CFO, CEO, and Board, enabling informed decision-making at the highest levels.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are seeking a distinguished finance professional with the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a Master’s or MBA strongly preferred.
• Professional certification in one of the following: CPA, CMA, CFA, or SOCPA.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity, ideally within the transportation, logistics, or fleet-heavy industries.
• Proven expertise in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, with familiarity in integrating fleet management systems with financial platforms.
• A deep understanding of freight and logistics cost structures, including fuel, driver, maintenance, and depreciation dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and Power BI to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax/Zakat regulations, ensuring seamless compliance and risk management.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and at all organizational levels.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, enabling seamless communication in a multicultural environment.
