Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Financial Director to join our client’s executive leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while driving sustainable growth and operational excellence. The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including strategic planning, governance, compliance, and performance optimization, while providing critical insights to support executive decision-making and long-term business success.

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute a robust financial strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term vision, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
• Financial Planning & Budgeting: Oversee comprehensive financial planning, budgeting processes, and cash flow management to optimize resource allocation and financial stability.
• Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and corporate governance frameworks to mitigate risks and maintain stakeholder trust.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and final accounts, providing transparency and actionable insights for leadership.
• Performance Monitoring & Strategic Insights: Continuously monitor financial performance, identify trends, and deliver strategic recommendations to enhance decision-making at the executive level.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business units to assess financial requirements, streamline resource allocation, and support operational efficiency across the organization.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is essential. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
• Proven Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role, is required.
• Listed Company Expertise: Demonstrated experience within a publicly listed company, with a deep understanding of the unique financial and regulatory challenges associated with such environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in financial reporting, governance frameworks, budgeting, risk management, and strategic financial analysis.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders, drive financial discipline, and communicate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.
