R&D or Production Manager - dry-mix mortar and construction chemicals manufacturing

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D or Production Manager to join our dynamic team at Delta International PK, based in Dammam. This pivotal role will oversee either the Research & Development or Production department, focusing on dry-mix mortar and construction chemicals manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing operations or driving innovation in product development. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing product quality, optimizing production processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Development (R&D) Focus:
  • Lead the development of innovative dry-mix mortar and construction chemical products, ensuring alignment with market demands and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to translate customer needs into viable product solutions.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of new formulations, ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards.
  • Optimize existing product lines by enhancing performance, reducing costs, and improving sustainability.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and emerging materials to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, patents, and documentation for new product launches and regulatory submissions.
• Production Management Focus:
  • Oversee end-to-end production operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of dry-mix mortar and construction chemicals.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control systems to guarantee product consistency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead process optimization initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
  • Manage a team of production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely sourcing of raw materials and efficient distribution of finished products.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address deviations or inefficiencies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or advanced certification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in R&D or production management within the construction chemicals or building materials industry. Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • In-depth knowledge of dry-mix mortar formulations, admixtures, and construction chemical applications.
  • Familiarity with production equipment, process automation, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory compliance frameworks.
