QA/QC Engineer

Position Overview

SAUFI MODERN INDUSTRIAL FACTORY is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dammam. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all manufacturing processes, products, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with international standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality benchmarks.
• Quality Control: Perform comprehensive inspections, tests, and evaluations of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities. Utilize advanced testing methodologies and equipment to validate product integrity and performance.
• Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure sustainable quality enhancements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspection results, and compliance documentation. Prepare comprehensive reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and recommendations for corrective measures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving industry regulations, standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ASME), and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant. Liaise with regulatory bodies as needed to facilitate certifications and audits.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and management teams to foster a culture of quality and accountability. Provide training and guidance to personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate them. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and propose data-driven solutions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ CQE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an industrial or heavy machinery sector.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and testing equipment. Familiarity with quality management software (e.g., SAP QM, ETQ Reliance) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Proficiency in using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) to analyze quality metrics.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate quality standards, report findings, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives, mentor teams, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dammam, where you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role may require occasional travel to supplier sites or client locations for quality audits or training sessions.
