Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to join the team at ICMS Group - International Construction & Manufacturing Services, a leading provider of integrated construction and manufacturing solutions based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This role is based in the hybrid work environment in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and operational excellence of a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, classified, and summarized. Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections. Ensure timely payments to vendors and accurate billing to clients to optimize cash flow.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Zakat, and other statutory obligations. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time to avoid penalties.
  • Internal Controls & Audit Support: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Assist internal and external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing and construction-related costs to support pricing decisions and profitability analysis. Collaborate with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess the company’s financial health, including liquidity, solvency, and profitability. Present findings and recommendations to senior management to drive informed business decisions.
  • System & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems. Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities to interpret financial data and identify trends. Ability to work with large datasets and generate meaningful insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Saudi Arabian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, including IFRS, Zakat, and VAT.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to ethical standards and integrity in all financial dealings.

This position is based in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site presence with remote flexibility.
