• Bedside Dental Care: Provide essential bedside dental procedures within approved clinical privileges, such as tooth stabilization, smoothing of sharp tooth edges, temporary dressings, and management of denture-related lesions. Address oral pain, infections, and minor bleeding to enhance patient comfort.
• Specialized Assessments: Evaluate oral complications associated with medical conditions such as tracheostomy, prolonged intubation, and dysphagia, ensuring these factors do not impede nutritional intake or rehabilitation progress.
• Referral Coordination: Identify patients requiring advanced dental, oral surgery, or maxillofacial care and facilitate timely referrals to external specialists or facilities, ensuring continuity of care beyond the hospital’s scope.
