Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows System Engineer to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise Windows-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, robust security, and high availability. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, automation, and enterprise support, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive continuous improvement across our infrastructure landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Windows Server & Active Directory Administration: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols. Ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance of these critical services to support business operations.
• Virtualization & Cloud Management: Administer and optimize VMware and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) virtualization platforms, ensuring efficient resource allocation, high availability, and seamless integration with enterprise systems.
• Automation & Scripting: Leverage PowerShell and other automation tools to streamline system management, reduce manual intervention, and enhance operational efficiency across the Windows infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows servers, hardware, software applications, and network infrastructure. Provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
• Backup, Disaster Recovery & Security: Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes, implement robust security controls, and ensure adherence to enterprise security policies. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediate findings to mitigate risks.
• Enterprise Platform Support: Provide technical support for critical enterprise platforms, including Microsoft Exchange, Citrix, and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ensuring their optimal performance and alignment with business requirements.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for all infrastructure components. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies through rigorous monitoring and reporting.
• Collaboration & Team Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and development, to align infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals. Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required to maintain service levels.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong foundation in enterprise Windows infrastructure management, with hands-on experience in the following areas:

• Proven expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools for system management and configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Exchange, Citrix, and SCCM.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies, as well as security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts and provide timely support during critical operational periods.
