In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Engineering team to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our hotel’s infrastructure. Your expertise in electrical systems, control technologies, and troubleshooting will be instrumental in delivering Yes I Can! service—where every technical challenge is met with precision, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Building and Engineering Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical and Control System Maintenance: Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS), including controllers, sensors, alarms, and field devices to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction.
• HVAC System Expertise: Diagnose and resolve faults in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including Fan Coil Units (FCU), Air Handling Units (AHU), thermostats, control valves, actuators, fans, motors, and related control circuits.
• Fault Identification and Repair: Utilize advanced electrical testing instruments—such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers—to identify and rectify electrical and control faults in 24V circuits, relays, contactors, sensors, and actuators.
• Communication and Integration: Monitor and troubleshoot communication between BMS/GRMS controllers and field devices, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
• Guest Experience Support: Address and resolve guest room complaints related to AC, temperature control, lighting, occupancy sensors, and GRMS functions with efficiency and professionalism.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs to prevent system failures, extending the lifespan of electrical and control infrastructure.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of faults, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with BMS/GRMS vendors during testing, commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting phases to align systems with operational requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict hotel safety procedures and electrical safety standards to mitigate risks and ensure a secure working environment.
• Cross-Functional Support: Assist other Engineering teams as needed to support broader operational goals and enhance system reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A Diploma or technical qualification in Electrical/Electronics, HVAC, or Building Automation, with a strong foundation in electrical and control systems.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotel or commercial building environments, where you have honed your skills in system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of GRMS and BMS systems, including an understanding of controllers, sensors, and communication networks.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills for HVAC electrical and control systems, with hands-on experience in diagnosing faults in components such as relays, actuators, and control wiring.
• Familiarity with PLCs and automation technologies, enabling you to interpret electrical drawings, control wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Technical proficiency in using tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers to perform accurate diagnostics and repairs.
• A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Hotel GRMS experience is a significant advantage, as it aligns with the unique demands of hospitality operations.
