Operations Manager

About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead the operational activities of our state-of-the-art Molecular Diagnostics, Research, and Training facility located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination across all operational domains, including laboratory management, administrative functions, facility maintenance, training initiatives, and support services. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the facility. Core responsibilities include:

• Facility and Laboratory Oversight: Ensure the efficient and compliant operation of laboratory and facility activities, maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and productivity.
• Resource and Staff Coordination: Manage staffing requirements, resource allocation, procurement processes, equipment procurement, and facility maintenance to support seamless operations.
• Performance Monitoring: Track operational performance metrics, service delivery timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous enhancement of service quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Technical, Quality, Commercial, and support teams to align operational strategies with organizational goals and foster a collaborative working environment.
• Project and Program Support: Facilitate the implementation of new laboratory services, research projects, and training programs to expand the facility’s capabilities and meet evolving market demands.
• Vendor and Maintenance Management: Oversee vendor relationships, coordinate maintenance activities, ensure equipment calibration, manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and address operational challenges proactively.
• Issue Resolution: Identify operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement timely corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance operational resilience.
• Financial and Reporting Oversight: Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and provide accurate management reporting to support strategic decision-making and financial accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant experience in operational management, preferably within the healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate complex projects, and solve operational challenges with a results-driven approach.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Saudi healthcare and laboratory regulatory frameworks is highly advantageous, along with a strong understanding of operational best practices in a high-precision environment.
