Assistant Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management for our business unit. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: Oversee all aspects of the financial accounting process, including month-end and year-end closing, general ledger maintenance, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for the business unit. Conduct regular reviews and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure proper validation of transactions.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other financial documents to support senior management in strategic decision-making. Identify cost-saving initiatives and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal control mechanisms to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external and internal auditors to facilitate seamless audit processes.
• Risk Management: Assess financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and credit risks, and implement mitigation strategies to protect the division’s financial health. Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditure projects through detailed cost-benefit analysis.
• Process Optimization & Automation: Drive continuous improvement by overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software. Lead initiatives to automate processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline operations across the division.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, department heads, and senior management to support business initiatives and strategic projects. Communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team within the division, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and alignment with organizational goals. Provide guidance and training to enhance team capabilities.
• Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and reporting of Zakat, tax, and monthly VAT obligations in accordance with Saudi Arabian regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local financial and tax requirements.
• Industry-Specific Expertise: Leverage preferred knowledge of agricultural business, animal feed manufacturing, and poultry farms to provide tailored financial insights and support for the division’s operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Professional Qualifications: ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience in the agricultural, poultry farming, or animal feed manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven decisions.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
