Job Purpose

The Price Controller Admin.Pricing & Analytics 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of pricing data across all systems. This position supports the Pricing & Analytics function by ensuring that pricing information is consistently validated, updated, and executed in alignment with approved guidelines. The role is pivotal in facilitating timely price updates, fostering compliance with pricing policies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to guarantee seamless price activation across all channels. By providing reliable pricing data and insights, the Price Controller Admin contributes to informed decision-making, operational continuity, and robust reporting that underpins effective pricing strategies.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain and Validate Pricing Master Data: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and readiness of pricing master data across approved systems to support seamless execution and reporting.
• Validate Price Change Requests: Review and validate price change requests against approved pricing guidelines to ensure compliance before system upload, mitigating risks associated with incorrect pricing.
• Execute Timely Price Updates: Upload and update price files within defined timelines to enable prompt price activation across all channels, including stores and digital platforms.
• Monitor for Discrepancies: Proactively identify and resolve system price discrepancies by comparing reports and source files, ensuring data integrity and minimizing operational disruptions.
• Coordinate Price Activation: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to confirm the accurate implementation of price changes in both physical and digital retail environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Prepare Pricing Control Reports: Develop and distribute comprehensive pricing control reports that highlight changes, exceptions, and status updates to support effective pricing governance and decision-making.
• Support Periodic Price Audits: Assist in compiling necessary documentation and evidence to facilitate transparent price audits, ensuring adherence to control frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Address Pricing Inquiries: Respond to pricing-related inquiries with precise data and clarifications, enabling smooth operational follow-up and maintaining stakeholder confidence in pricing processes.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of educational background and practical experience in pricing administration, data management, or commercial operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 1–3 years in a relevant role, such as pricing administration, data management, commercial operations, or finance, with a focus on pricing mechanics.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong understanding of retail pricing mechanics, including regular, promotional, loyalty, and seasonal pricing strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, lookups, and data validation tools to ensure accurate data processing.
  • Familiarity with pricing systems and the ability to handle system uploads and updates efficiently.
• Analytical and Numerical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities to ensure data accuracy and support informed pricing decisions.
• Master Data Management: A solid grasp of master data management principles to maintain the integrity and consistency of pricing information across systems.
