Job Overview

Guy Carpenter is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst – Accounting Operations to join our Fiduciary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the end-to-end lifecycle of Re-insurance Broking while driving process excellence and leading transformative change initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, fostering leadership growth, and ensuring seamless system and process migrations. This position is open exclusively to Saudi nationals.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst – Accounting Operations will be responsible for overseeing critical financial and operational functions within the fiduciary domain. Your core accountabilities will include:

• Financial Reconciliation and Reporting: Process cash receipts and disbursements of fiduciary funds, perform reconciliations, and address resulting queries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Performance Management: Support personal cash processing and fiduciary targets by leveraging Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to generate insightful reports from the CSS Dashboard and other system tools.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of fiduciary systems, processes, policies, and procedures to drive day-to-day operations and resolve complex issues.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare, record, and report customer billing transactions, respond to stakeholder requests, and escalate issues appropriately to maintain high service standards.
• Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong client and market relationships to deliver value-added service and foster long-term partnerships.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as Compliance and Finance to resolve sensitive client issues and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Technical Development and Leadership

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in initiatives that enhance technical proficiency and operational excellence:

• Knowledge Sharing: Lead or participate in knowledge-sharing forums across onshore and offshore locations to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Mentorship and Training: Collaborate with peers to address complex reinsurance developments, provide training, mentoring, and guidance to team members, and clarify technical terminology and procedures.
• System and Process Improvement: Lead authorization, sign-off, and approvals on technical reports and documentation. Actively engage in Business Continuity and Business Impact Analysis, including the development of detailed mitigation plans.
• System Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in System Release Testing, including enhancement and regression testing, and report bugs to ensure system reliability and performance.

Financial Performance and Risk Management

The Senior Analyst – Accounting Operations will also be responsible for driving financial performance and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations:

• Financial KPI Reviews: Lead various Financial KPI reviews, including Cash, Funding, Income Exposure, Receivables, Retentions, and Claims Collections, to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.
• Working Capital Optimization: Ensure working capital improvement and maintain bad debt provisioning requirements well below existing provisions to enhance financial health.
• Legacy Project Management: Drive legacy projects across regions to minimize or eliminate balances appearing above 90+ days ageing, ensuring efficient financial operations.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory guidelines, participate in internal and external audits at the team level, and ensure team compliance with various mandates.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Reinsurance Accounting Experience: Proven experience in Reinsurance Accounting within the London Market, Asian Market, or US Market.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to act as a mentor and coach, fostering passion and commitment towards team, department, and organizational goals.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions.
