Role Overview

As a Rotating Equipment Engineer within the ENCAR Business Line, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of project activities related to rotating equipment. Your role will involve adhering to project requirements, maintaining budget constraints, adhering to time schedules, and upholding the highest quality standards. You will serve as a critical link between technical specifications, vendor management, and project interfaces to ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution and Compliance: Execute project activities in alignment with project requirements, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with international standards, including API 610, 617, 619, 675, and others as applicable.
• Documentation and Interface Management: Prepare essential technical documents such as Mechanical Data Sheets, Inspection Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, and Technical Bid Evaluations. Manage interfaces with vendors, serving as the focal point for assigned supplies and ensuring accurate in/out information flow across project teams.
• Vendor Coordination and Inspections: Lead vendor document follow-ups, participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and conduct site inspections to verify the quality and compliance of rotating equipment. Provide critical input and recommendations for equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with various engineering disciplines and project teams, including process, civil, piping, instrumentation & controls, electrical, metallurgy, project management, procurement, inspection, logistics, commissioning, and construction. Ensure the seamless integration of rotating equipment into the overall project design and execution plan.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Hold a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Background: Demonstrate at least 5 years of proven experience in similar or related roles within international main contracting and engineering companies.
• Technical Expertise: Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the engineering and design of rotating equipment, specifically within the oil and gas industry. Exceptional candidates with slightly less experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic and English at a B2/C1 level is required to facilitate effective communication across global teams and stakeholders.
