Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks that contribute to the success of Sigma Paints’ projects. Your duties will include:

• Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards. Utilize your technical expertise to design structural components, infrastructure systems, and facilities that meet regulatory and operational requirements.
• Construction Oversight: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, safety protocols, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with contractors to address any deviations or challenges promptly.
• Budget and Resource Management: Assist in preparing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints. Provide cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or safety.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, regional, and international regulations, including building codes, environmental laws, and occupational health and safety standards. Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with projects and implement proactive measures to mitigate them. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between Sigma Paints, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Maintain clear and consistent communication to ensure all parties are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, LEED) is a plus.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record in project management, design, and construction oversight. Experience in the paints, coatings, or industrial sector is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and project management tools is an advantage.
