Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Lead for Trauma & Extremities to spearhead the growth and expansion of our division in the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a primary focus on Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the key liaison between our organization and healthcare professionals, hospitals, and distributors, ensuring the successful promotion, adoption, and utilization of our advanced medical technologies in Trauma and Extremities. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in driving sales performance, fostering long-term customer relationships, and contributing to the company’s mission of improving patient outcomes through innovation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Territory Lead, your core responsibilities will encompass a blend of strategic planning, customer engagement, and operational execution. Your duties will include:

  • Market Development & Customer Relationships: Establish, nurture, and sustain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, including surgeons, hospital administrators, and procurement teams. Ensure continuity of engagement to drive brand loyalty and market penetration.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, product advancements, and regulatory changes within your assigned territory. Provide timely and insightful reports to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Sales Execution & Target Achievement: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies aligned with regional and company-wide objectives. Execute sales activities, including customer visits, product demonstrations, and negotiations, to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proposal Evaluation & Customer Support: Assess requests for proposals (RFPs) from customers and partners, compiling detailed material lists tailored to their specific needs. Advise customers on procurement methods such as tenders, leasing, or direct purchases, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and reporting.
  • Logistics & Delivery Coordination: Oversee the timely delivery and installation of products within your territory. Provide post-sales training to end-users on product usage and surgical techniques, including attendance at surgical cases to ensure optimal implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Oversight & Collections: Facilitate the accrual of customer bills and coordinate with the Finance and Accounting department to ensure timely collections, adhering to established due dates and payment terms.
  • Quality & Customer Feedback Management: Act as the primary point of contact for customer complaints and feedback. Evaluate and address issues within your territory, escalating critical matters to the Quality Management Representative and senior leadership as needed. Implement corrective actions and communicate resolutions to customers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Scientific & Marketing Support: Communicate scientific support requests and plans to the regional marketing team. Collaborate on the development and execution of educational initiatives, congress materials, and product demonstrations to enhance market awareness and drive adoption.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, marketing, and tender departments to support operational efficiency and project completion. Provide assistance to the logistics team as required to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare or business are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience in a territory management, sales, or business development role, preferably within the medical device or orthopaedic industry. Direct experience in Trauma, Extremities, or Joint Replacement is highly desirable.
  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the orthopaedic market, including familiarity with trauma and extremities products, surgical techniques, and healthcare procurement processes.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and credibility with healthcare professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools. Familiarity with medical device regulations and compliance standards is a valuable asset.
