Finance Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in driving financial excellence by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in finance and accounting, coupled with the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements with precision. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and financial forecasts to support organizational goals. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, with meticulous attention to detail. Ensure adherence to accounting principles and financial regulations, including Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) requirements.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Collaborate with accounting teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Manage Value Added Tax (VAT) calculations, compliance reporting, and the preparation of VAT returns. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant. Experience with ZATCA requirements is a valuable asset.
• Data Analysis and Decision Support: Utilize analytical skills to evaluate financial data, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across departments. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, operations, and leadership teams to provide financial guidance, resolve discrepancies, and align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Technical Proficiency: Leverage financial software and advanced spreadsheet tools, such as Excel, to automate processes, perform complex calculations, and generate reports. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with a proven track record in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling. Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Analytical Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial information and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to translate technical financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax compliance, including VAT and ZATCA requirements. Staying updated on regulatory changes is essential.
• Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. On-site presence in Dammam is required.
