CNC Machinist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for performing complex setups, manual and CNC machining, subassembly, tool setting, and final assembly of components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision, direct other employees, and provide training on departmental functions and processes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional conduct while ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with specified timelines.

Key Responsibilities

The CNC Machinist will be accountable for the following duties and responsibilities:

• Machining Operations: Perform manual and CNC machining on alloy and non-alloy materials using CNC Horizontal Turning Lathes and Horizontal Boring Cum Milling Machines. Operate CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation, and proving part programs.
• Setup and Configuration: Set up CNC mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers. Properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
• Quality Assurance: Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces in adherence to international standards. Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and adjust controls as necessary. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and following manufacturer’s instructions.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend modifications for enhanced efficiency and adaptability. Document actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work shifts.
• Training and Leadership: Train and oversee other employees on all departmental functions and processes. Promote a culture of safety and quality while maintaining a personal inventory of basic tooling for routine setups.
• Documentation and Reporting: Complete production and quality logs, update job knowledge through educational opportunities, and participate in technical publications to stay current with industry advancements.
• Professional Conduct: Conduct all job-related activities in a professional manner, adhering to company policies and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC and manual machining, with a proven track record in complex setups and operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in G-Code with Fanuc Control systems. Experience in CNC programming and machining is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills to effectively train and direct team members.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift stock into position and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and precision.
