As a Storekeeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our storeroom, maintaining the highest standards of inventory management and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The Storekeeper is entrusted with the critical task of managing the receipt, storage, control, and distribution of all hotel supplies and materials procured through the Purchasing Department. Your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and Verification: Accurately receive and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes, verifying quantity, quality, and condition to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Inventory Management: Maintain precise inventory records, applying First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) principles to ensure stock rotation and prevent waste or obsolescence.
• Stock Issuance and Control: Distribute materials and supplies to relevant hotel departments based on approved store requisitions, while monitoring par and minimum stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Purchasing, Receiving, and Cost Control departments to align inventory levels with operational demands and budgetary constraints.
• Stock Audits and Discrepancies: Conduct regular stock counts and investigations into discrepancies to uphold accuracy and accountability in inventory records.
• Storeroom Maintenance: Ensure the storeroom is clean, organized, secure, and compliant with health and safety regulations, fostering an environment that supports operational excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to facilitate clear and effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Purchasing Storekeeper, Receiving Clerk, or in a similar inventory management role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of purchase orders, delivery notes, requisitions, and inventory documentation systems.
• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional numerical aptitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while working independently.
