Program Overview
The Graduate Development Program in Finance is meticulously designed to cultivate the next generation of financial leaders within the energy and water industry. This comprehensive 12-month program offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across critical finance functions, including Accounting & Reporting, Tax, Asset Management Finance, and Corporate Finance. Participants will engage in structured rotational assignments, enabling them to develop a robust foundation in financial operations, strategic decision-making, and business partnering within a dynamic and evolving energy landscape. The program is tailored to equip graduates with the technical expertise, leadership acumen, and industry insights necessary to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Participants in the Graduate Development Program will be immersed in a variety of finance-related tasks and projects, including:
- Accounting & Reporting: Gain exposure to fundamental accounting principles, financial statement components, and GAAP standards. Assist in invoice processing (AP & AR), bank reconciliations, and financial documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Tax: Develop a deep understanding of taxation principles, including VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory filings. Support the preparation of tax compliance documents and maintain meticulous tax records to meet regional and international standards.
- Asset Management Finance: Learn the financial tracking and reporting mechanisms for energy assets and operational infrastructure. Contribute to asset capitalization, depreciation calculations, and fixed asset reconciliations. Assist in budgeting and forecasting for large-scale energy projects.
- Corporate Finance: Participate in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support strategic planning. Monitor cash flows, engage in treasury-related operations, and contribute to high-impact financial presentations that drive business decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
To qualify for this prestigious program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Recent graduates or individuals with up to 1-2 years of relevant internship or work experience in finance or accounting.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical proficiency, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create insightful financial models and presentations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is considered a valuable asset.
