Income Auditor

Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Finance professional to join our team as an Income Auditor. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations by meticulously reviewing and verifying financial reports, ensuring strict compliance with established policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

As an Income Auditor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Financial Report Verification: Conduct thorough reviews of Night Auditors' logbooks, daily revenue reports, and Food & Beverage reports, ensuring all supporting vouchers and trial balances are accurate and properly authorized.
• Report Distribution: Prepare and distribute daily financial reports following approval from the Director of Finance or Financial Controller.
• Rate Variance Analysis: Scrutinize rate variance reports to confirm that the correct rates are applied across all transactions.
• City Ledger and Credit Card Management: Review daily city ledger entries and credit card transfers, then forward the information to the Accounts Receivable team for processing.
• Cash Summary Auditing: Audit daily cash summaries and update the General Cashier’s report to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Cashier Oversight: Investigate and address overages and shortages reported by cashiers, while also reviewing Front Office foreign exchange rates as needed.
• Float Management: Conduct weekly float counting for all house fund holders and compile a comprehensive monthly float count summary to maintain financial accountability.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A degree in hotel management, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: At least one year of relevant experience within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with financial software such as Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is considered an asset.
